CEI 2092 - CEI 2100 MULTI - FUNCTION DEVICE FOR FABRICS

 

 

Description:

Particularly suited to be installed on textile machines, it allows the following operations:

A - Fabric aligner - programmable for right, left, or center alignment. It can be set for right and left alignment distances. Programmable stay times on right/left side, with automatic switchover.

B - Fabrics width reader - The device shows the fabric width, the position on the right and on the left. It is possible to programme the width of the fabric coming in ad out of the machine by connecting two sensors. The alarm thresholds are adjustable with the possibility to set an allowance value.

C - Holes detector - It allows to detect holes and tearings in the fabric. The size of the hole causing the alarm is programmable from 10 mm up to 500 mm.

D - Lack of fabric detector - Prevents the machine from getting out of stroke, and the relevant damages and following time losses (signal contact potential free) This sensor is provided with an output RS485, that can be connected to a common PLC provided with such output. This allows managing of the four signals directly from the PLC aboard the machine, resulting in functional and cost benefits. If a PLC is not available, the sensor can be connected to our CEI 2100 instrument, always by way of a serial cable RS 485. This instrument is supplied with seven output contacts, potential free. Connections: 9-pole connector for RS485 and + 24 Vdc. - Required power supply: 20 W. Cable length: 4 m supplied. Different sizes on demand. Maximum length 200 m. Frame: Anodized extruded aluminium in matt black colour - Diffuser: transparent matt red Lexan. Assembly: by adjustable brackets - maximum extension 500 mm beyond standard size (supplied). Use precaution:

Do not install close to sources of high heat. Protection IP54 is guaranteed provided that no screws or protections are removed; It is however advisable not to install the device close to jets of water: drops or condensate settled on the readers and transmitters glasses, may cause reading mistakes or signal inexistent holes. Do not install on machinery producing high vibrations; in that case insert some vibration-damping devices between the support bracket and the machinery (zones D - E). The device is provided with shield glasses, protecting against sun infrared rays. Anyway, it is advisable to position the device with the receivers side towards the equipment external side (RX), so that sun rays do not directly hit the receiver zone. The RX zone is clearly shown on the device by a label.

 

WARNING! The fastening pins are supplied in a fixed standard length to be used for all kinds of machines. During installation, cut the pins so that they will not stick out inside the sensor. Otherwise, they could cause the device to malfunction or jam completely.

 

 

Maximum protrusion: 5 mm.

Note: The final customer could make an error in positioning or moving the sensor with respect to the pin. If the maximum 5-mm protrusion guideline is followed during installation, it will be impossible to reposition the sensor so as to cause malfunctions.
