CEI 2109 NO - CONTACT SEAM SENSOR

Description:

Stitch electronic sensor, with no members in contact with the fabric or the seam. Specially suited for detecting the so called "Head to head" seam. These seam, quite thin and difficult to detect through other devices, are detected in a safe and guaranteed way with the CEI 2109 device. The device peculiarity is its special way of functioning, as there is no need of mechanical members in contact with the fabric. Usually when fabrics are delicate, valuable, of a high quality, or have directioned hair, working with detecting devices in contact with the fabric can cause major problems, resulting in strips or signs on the fabrics. Often these signs on the fabric are fixed by following proc-esses, making the end-product no more usable, of very poor quality or even rejected. The device is in a position to detect seam on overlapping fabrics with maximum thickness of 11.5 mm. Measure is determined by the maximum passage gap. The seam thickness can actually be 12~13 mm , but this can result in undesired breakings or tearings. It is therefore advisable to use it with 11.5 mm maximum thickness.

 

Functions:

Seam sensing - very small - small - medium. Standstill fabric sensing. This signal is active in case of fabric standstill or when the fabric comes out of the sensor. It is used to stop the machine or signal that the sensor is not active, because the fabric is lacking or it is out of the sensor field of action.

 

Adjustments:

Usually the device does not require any adjustment. If needed it is possible to increase or decrease the sensing sensitiveness by way of the special three positions commutator. On the control and signal panel, an ON/OFF switch is provided.

 

Signaling:

Red led ON: seam detected. Red led OFF: no seam detected. Green led ON: standstill or out of sensor fabric. Green led OFF: moving fabric.

 

Power supply:

Diretta con il cavo in dotazione: 20 - 35 Vdc 500 mA livellato, op. 24 Vdc 500 mA stabilizzato. Mediante l'alimentatore CEI 2121: 110 op. 230 Vac 50/60 Hz. L'alimentatore comprende due uscite con contatti liberi di potenziale.

 

Outputs:

 

Logic signal + 24 Vdc for seam detection. Logic signal + 24 Vdc for standstill fabric. Connecting the device to the CEI 2121 feeder, this provides two outputs with potential free contacts - N. 1 Exchange contact for stitch presence and one contact for standstill or out of sensor fabric.

 

Connections:

4-pole male + female connectors, with ring lock. 5 m standard cable supplied with free cablehead on the opposite side of the connector. Other sizes available on demand.

 

Particular adjustments:

 

On the front panel of the sensor a black plastic plug is provided. When the plug is removed, a trimmer is displayed, located in the center. Rotating it clockwise, the sensitiveness increases, counterclockwise it decreases. If necessary, make very slight moves and only after contacting the Caccia Elettronica Industriale.

Instructions:

 

The sensor is not proper for the survey of seams on plotted wet. The sensor must be installs respecting the sense of entry of the fabric as pointed out by the arrow it posts on the tool. Not to install next to sources of intense heat. The protection IP54 is guaranteed to condition that some grapevine or protection are not removed; it is opportune not to install the apparatus next to throws of water however. Not to install on machineries that can produce intense vibrations; in such case to insert some rubber against the vibrations between the stirrup of support and the car. The device can produce false signalings in presence of strong issues in radio frequency produced by electronic devices situated in the proximities. In the case to contact our technical office.
